No ball, no game
NYC has thousands of hoops and not nearly enough balls. HouseBall exists to close that gap — one free basketball on one court at a time, until every blacktop in the city can run.
It always starts the same way: you get to the court, the rims are up, the lines are painted, the lights come on at dusk — and there's no ball. The game doesn't happen. Multiply that across 8+ public courts and you've got a whole lot of empty asphalt.
HouseBall is a simple fix run like a movement. We map every public court in the five boroughs, fund tough outdoor balls with community donations, and deploy them with local rec centers who keep them stocked. The map on our homepage isn't marketing — it's the actual scoreboard. Right now 0 of 8 courts have a ball, and you help pick what's next.
Free means free
Every ball is free to play with, forever. No sign-in, no rental, no catch.
All five boroughs
From Rucker to Rockaway to the north shore of Staten Island — nobody gets skipped.
Run by hoopers
We're players, not a logo. Decisions get made by the people on the court.

$20 puts a ball in the game
Chip in. Fill a court.
Every dollar goes to rubber, pumps, and boots on the blacktop. No court left hoop-less.
